Editor’s note: Editor’s note: Click the link to see a short video created by Rich Criss and Mick Welding. Criss stated, “This video shows a route to get from home-to-home, as well as a description of the décor in each home. It is an amateur video that, unfortunately, ends abruptly at 30 minutes. I hope you enjoy it!” https://youtu.be/OSXmzd5LAZg.

Criss wrote, “All are invited to mark their calendars and begin looking forward to the Morrison Community Hospital First Annual, 2021 Holiday Tour of Homes.  “The Halls Be Decked” event will be held Thursday-through-Saturday, December 2-4, 2021, as a part of the Morrison Christmas Walk weekend.”

Featured homes belong to Dale Belt and Lori Neighbour; Rich and Lynelle Criss; Jean Decker; Loren and Connie Tenboer.

The activity will warm your heart as you tour four beautiful homes decorated for the holidays.  Be treated to a wonderful coffee time at the “Kaffee Haus,” held in the new Conference Room of Morrison Community Hospital.  Coffee, hot apple cider, and a wonderful array of Christmas goodies will put you into the spirit of the holiday season.

While enjoying coffee time, consider taking the opportunity to write secret bids for beautiful centerpieces and Christmas trees.  These items will adorn the room and halls of the new hospital Foyer.

If you love architecture, decorating, or a festive activity to enjoy with friends or family, you’ll make wonderful memories at the MCH Foundation Holiday Tour of Homes.

Festivities begin Thursday, December 2, with an “Evening of Tidings and Candles.”  This exclusive preview is limited to 100 guests.  They will stroll through the homes without the crowds and enjoy hearty hors d’oeuvres and decadent Christmas goodies at the “Kaffee Haus” at their leisure.  This preview will be held from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m., with the “Kaffee Haus” being open until 9:00.  Tickets will be available for $100 per person.

Homes will be open on Friday, December 3, from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. and Saturday, December 4, from 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.  The “Kaffee Haus” will be open until 5:00.  Tickets for Friday and Saturday will be $12.50 per person and includes Christmas cookies, coffee, and hot apple cider.

Tickets will become available on Friday, October 1.  Order by sending a check payable to “MCH Foundation,” for either the preview night (limited to 100 tickets at $100 each), or the regular tour days, ($12.50 each) to Rich Criss, 603 Diamond Court, Morrison, IL 61270.  Enclose a self-addressed, stamped envelope.  Tickets will be mailed within three business days.
