BlackhawkHillsRegionalCouncilThe Board of Directors of Blackhawk Hills Regional Council (BHRC) is seeking qualified applicants to serve on its 18-member governing board. One position is available in both Lee County and Whiteside County.  A board member must be able to attend six meeting per year, held bi-monthly, in Lanark, IL, from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. Individuals with interest in urban/rural/regional planning, community and economic development, entrepreneurship, natural resources conservation, recreation, tourism, and transportation should consider applying.

Experience with non-profit or government administration, accounting, architecture, engineering, finances, and/or legal services is highly desirable.

Qualified applicants may submit a brief cover letter, one-page resume, and references to BHRC for consideration.  Appointments will be made by BHRC’s President, following consultation with BHRC board members and staff.  Blackhawk Hills reserves the right to reject any and all applicants.

About Blackhawk Hills Regional Council

Blackhawk Hills Regional Council is a non-profit, regional planning commission based in Rock Falls, IL, which serves Carroll, Jo Davies, Lee, Ogle, Stephenson, and Whiteside Counties.  Services include community planning, development assistance, natural resource conservation and protection support, and grant writing and administration.  The Council is sponsored by local County Boards and Soil and Water Conservation Districts.  It is overseen by an 18-member council, consisting of three representatives from each of the six counties.
