Ebenezer Reformed Church, 309 E. Park Street, Morrison, IL, will host two memorable services during Holy Week. The Morrison community is encouraged and welcome to attend either or both.
On Good Friday, March 29, 2024, at 6:00 p.m., the church family will hold a “Funeral Service for Christ.” It will be staged darkly, with windows covered in black paper, to reflect a somber mood.
Pastor J. T. Bean will deliver a moving sermon describing the crucifixion, suffering, and death of Jesus at Calvary. This allows for personal reflection and empathy.
“When He was on the cross, He was thinking of you.”
Return on Easter Sunday, March 31, at 9:30 a.m., as the story continues with a Resurrection Service. The public is invited to rejoice and celebrate Christ’s victory over death, sin, and the grave. This unique transformation will be powerfully demonstrated, as the darkness is exchanged for sunlight.
There will be music and a message from Pastor Bean. All are welcome to attend.
