The mission of the Morrison Schools Foundation (MSF) is to:
•enhance the education of our students by raising funds to enable greater educational opportunities.
•strengthen our community by promoting the engagement of our residents, businesses, and alumni in our schools.
•support the Morrison School District in its quest for academic excellence, by providing funding not available through traditional local, State, and Federal sources.

Remembering the goals and the mission of the Morrison Schools Foundation, a “Casino Night” fundraiser was offered on the Whiteside County fairgrounds, in the Blue Building, 201 W. Winfield Street, Morrison, IL, on Saturday, October 22, 2022.  The community was invited to enjoy the activities and socialize among friends, from 7:00 to 10:00 p.m., in an environment that benefited the students of Morrison schools.

The MSF was originated in 2010 with the above needs in mind.  The organization has contributed over $50,000 to enhance the education of the students of the Morrison School District.  Each year, grants are made available to educators to use for procuring educational assistance for items not covered by the school budget.

Saturday’s Casino Night is an example of the fundraising efforts that are needed to fulfill the foundation’s mission. Local businesses can still make a contribution by contacting Jackie Damhoff at 815-499-0029 or jackie.damhoff@yahoo.com.
