During his tenure, Spencer initiated the Victim Impact Panel in the County.  This opportunity gives victims of crimes a voice prior to sentencing.  The Victim Impact Panel is available Statewide now.

The Whiteside County State’s Attorney Office processes 400 to 500 felonies per year.  Spencer and his team have brought thousands of offenders to justice over his three decades in office.

Maddie stated a significant change in the family routine, now that Spencer is retiring.  “He’ll be home when we get home, so we’ll have to do our chores right away, because he’ll be on us!”

Spencer stated his first day of retirement, Monday, December 3, would involve manual labor.  “I’ll be starting to remodel a bathroom, peeling off wallpaper.”

“Well done, thou good and faithful [public] servant.”  Matthew, 25:21.
