Sarah Thornidke presented the Morrison Chamber of Commerce and Stephanie Vavra with a new-in-box version of a Morrison, IL, Monopoly game. Her late mother retained a few of these games “…sponsored by the Morrison Chamber of Commerce.”
Do you own “The Game of Morrison?”
The label claims, “Wheeler Dealer is a fast-paced, action-packed game of skill, strategy, and the ‘luck of the dice,’ where two to six players ‘wheel ‘n deal’ their way around their own town, buying up, trading & selling local businesses that actually exist.”
Then it asks, “Do you have what it takes to take over your own town?”
There are two extensive lists on the center of the Monopoly board, “Business Honor Roll” and “Personal Honor Roll.” Because the businesses listed are not shown as Monopoly properties, one could assume the names refer to those who sponsored the creation of the game. Perhaps they were Chamber members.
