To the Citizens of Morrison:

As a student who walks home from school every day, I find walking in inches of snow and drifts to be an immense issue.  After a snowfall many students, including myself, have to hike over snow drifts and sidewalks that have not been shoveled. If you are not aware, there is a seventy-five dollar fine for leaving your sidewalks covered with snow.

Since this is a recurring issue, I decided to take it into my own hands to inform you that this is a big inconvenience to many students.  This is an issue that has been going on for many winters, so I decided to make an attempt to end it.

Thus, I would ask you as a citizen of Morrison, to take a few minutes to shovel your sidewalks….Spare all the students an obstacle as they walk to and from school.  From the students who walk, we really hope that you, as a citizen, will do the right thing.

Thank you.
