Sports skill sets require nurturing and maturing, to build skillful players. Morrison, IL, is fortunate to have several organizations and volunteers that add to experiential learning.
Volunteer Dustin Damhoff coaches a group of 5th grade boys on the Basketball court at Morrison Junior High School, twice a week. They began in December 2022 and played a triangular tournament on Saturday, January 7, 2023.
Team Morrison outscored Clinton, IA, then squeezed past Sterling, IL, Newman, by a point. Morrison lost the third game to Fulton, IL.
The youths will play every Saturday in February and March.
