The Morrison Filles only collected five hits, but a ninth-inning walk-off home run by Marissa Folkers allowed them to advance in the IHSA Girls State Softball Finals.
The Fillies’ Bella Duncan controlled the Lady Rocket offense. She allowed only two hits in the extra-inning contest and struck out 19 of the 35 batters she faced.
The Fillies will play Biggsville (West Central) at St. Bede on Wednesday, May 24, at 5:00 p.m., with the winner advancing to the Sectional finals.
