The American Legion Post 328 in Morrison, IL, will have a short presentation at the Morrison Veterans Park & Memorial, at Grove Hill Cemetery, on Veterans Day, Friday, November 11, 2022, at 11:00 a.m.
We will form up at 10:45; say a few words at 10:58 to memorialize the date and time; face the east and silently listen to the siren from Morrison Fire Department at exactly 11:00; fire three rifle volleys; play “Taps.”
The ceremony will conclude at that time. It is worth noting that this annual, short–but significant–ceremony is always at 11:00 a.m., on the 11th day of the 11th month.
