Michael G. Specht, 71, of Morrison, IL, died Saturday, August 8, 2026, at LaBella of Morrison.
Mike was born March 31, 1955, in Hodgenville, KY, the son of Paul and Naomi Specht. He was educated in the Annawan, IL, Grade Schools and was a graduate of Annawan High School. Mike was a true jack-of-all-trades and was known for his ability to fix just about anything. He enjoyed working with his hands and was an avid woodworker. He especially enjoyed spending time outdoors, where he could often be found fishing or hunting.
Survivors include six brothers, Joseph (Rita) Specht of Lyndon, IL; Paul (Jamie) Specht of Annawan; John (Carla) Specht of Annawan; Ray (Mo) Specht of Hooppole, IL; Roy (Nancy) Specht of Geneseo, IL; Charles (Marina) Specht of India; many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Cremation Rites have been accorded.
A private family Memorial Mass will be held, with Reverend Father Stephen Engelbrecht, Pastor of St. Anthony”s Catholic Church in Atkinson, IL, officiating.
There will be a Celebration of Life held at a later date.
Interment will be at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Hooppole, IL.
The Bosma-Gibson Funeral Home in Prophetstown, IL, is assisting the family with services.
Memorials may be made to the Annawan High School Bass Fishing Team.
