Joyce E. Lancaster, age 89, of Sterling, IL, died Monday, April 20, 2026, at Resthave Care & Rehabilitation in Morrison, IL.
Joyce was born October 13, 1936, in Milledgeville, IL, the daughter of Hiram and Crete (Calligan) Ferris. She married Charles Lancaster on January 14, 1956. Joyce enjoyed shopping, making crafts, collecting antiques, and flower gardening. She also had a great love for camping.
She is survived by her husband, Chuck Lancaster; three children, Jeff Lancaster, Julie (Corey) Kendall, and Jerry (Ellie) Lancaster; five grandchildren, Nick Nelson, Allen (Keisha) Nelson, Joe (Jacki) Rogers, Cru Scribner, and Jacey (Ben) Suiter; six great-grandchildren, Landen Rogers, Layton Rogers, Wrenley Suiter, Brooks Suiter, Briar Nelson, and Braylen Nelson; sister, Betty (Terry) Meyers; niece, Jody (Tom) Sayre; nephew, Joel (Laurie) Meyers; several other nieces and nephews.
A Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 25, 2026, from noon to 1:00 p.m., at the McDonald Funeral Home, 520 Holcomb Avenue, Milledgeville, IL.
A Graveside service will follow at 1:15 p.m., at Bethel Cemetery in Milledgeville, IL, with Ed Livengood officiating.
A memorial has been established to the Milledgeville Town Beautification Community Garden.
