Wyman W. “Skip” Vinson, age 62, died at home Thursday, September 18, 2014.
Skip was born on October 17, 1951, in Walnut Ridge, AR, the son of Eddie and Lola (Collins) Vinson. He was a local musical celebrity for 47 years and carpet installer.
Survivors include, his loving companion of six years, Bonnie Bertolozzi; two sons, Wyman “Skip” II (Angie) Vinson of Box Elder, SD, and Seth Vinson of Morrison, IL; three sisters, Alice Gaines of McKinney, TX, Sue (Don) Clark and Mattie (David) Jacobs both of Sterling, IL; four grandchildren, Mackenzie, Matthew, Noah, and Sarah Vinson.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Paul, James, and Eddie “Bud” Vinson; three sisters, Sally Hartman, Anne Ceplina, and Pat “Nan” Marks.
A gathering of family and friends will be from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m., Monday, September 22, 2014, at the McDonald Funeral Home in Rock Falls, IL.
A celebration of his life and dinner will follow at 4:00 p.m. at the Rock Falls Eagles Club of FOE, 321 W. 2nd Street, Rock Falls, IL.
Cremation rites have been accorded.
A memorial has been established.
