Morrison Ministers’ Council will host the community at five, free lunches at five Morrison, IL, churches during Lent. They will be on Wednesdays from noon to 1:00 p.m. The theme of each short Lenten message is “The Body of Christ.” Invite others to come with you to gather and share the passage through Lent.
In this Lenten season, we remember all that Jesus did for us. We especially remember the suffering that He went through. As we look at the body of Christ, we also recognize that we as His followers are the body of Christ. Come join us on five Wednesdays during Lent, at noon, for a brief Lenten message and a no-cost, simple meal of soup and bread.
Wednesday, February 21 – “The Head of Christ” Bethesda Lutheran Church, 301 W. South Street
Wednesday, February 28 – “The Heart of Christ” Morrison Brethren in Christ, 209 E. Knox Street
Wednesday, March 6 – “The Hands of Christ” First Presbyterian Church, 100 E. Lincolnway
Wednesday, March 13 – “The Feet of Christ” Emmanuel Church, 202 E. Morris Street
Wednesday, March 20 – “The Mouth of Christ” Ebenezer Reformed Church, 309 E. Park Street.
