Sherin “Lucille” Lathrop, 82, of Sterling, IL, died on Friday, May 16, 2025, at Allure of Sterling.
Lucille was born November 24, 1942, in Rock Falls, IL, the daughter of Merle and Evelyn (Wescott) Lathrop. In her younger years, Lucille loved to paint and enjoyed collecting butterflies and angels. She was also an animal lover.
Survivors include one son, Raymond “Tony Lathrop,” of Morrison, IL; many grandchildren; great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews.
Lucille was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Rhonda Carter; four sisters; two brothers.
Visitation will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Tuesday, May 20, 2025, at McDonald Funeral Home in Rock Falls, IL.
Funeral Service will follow at 3:00 p.m.
Cremation rites will then be accorded.
Graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 22, 2025, at Coloma Township Cemetery in Rock Falls. IL.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Happy Tails Animal Shelter.
