Join Morrison Rotary Club for a morning walk or run on Saturday, September 17, or come cheer for your friends and family members, during the 34th Annual Harvest Hammer Duathlon.

As of Thursday, September 1, 2022, we have 69 athletes registered. With two weeks before the event, this is about 30 competitors less than we normally have. The long range weather forecast is looking wonderful! We only have had race-day rain twice in 34 years, so it should not deter us from another great event!

We encourage people who have never participated in the Duathlon (a 5K run plus 21 mile bike ride) to try it out. Two athletes can choose can enter the Team event. So, you only have to ride or run, as does your partner.

There is an option to just walk the 5K and enjoy the scenery. Three Fun Runs are designed for kids in grades 2-and-Under up to 8th grade. Bryce Mead, owner of Mead’s Bike Shop in Sterling, IL, will again donate two children’s bikes via drawing.

If you enter any Harvest Hammer event, there is a complimentary Color Run to join. It follows the Harvest Hammer around 11:30 a.m. Those who want to enter only the Color Run may register just for that event. The fee is $15.

More information is available on our website: www.harvesthammer.org. Register at www.getmeregistered.com and search for Harvest Hammer.
