information from the National Weather Service of the Quad Cities warns of the possibility of severe storms later today, around 2:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m.

Severe storms are expected today, Thursday April 2, 2026, and on Friday, April 3. Damaging winds and isolated tornadoes are the main risks, but large hail cannot be ruled out.
Storms will move at highway speeds, so there will be less time than normal to seek shelter.
An additional 1-to-3 inches of rain is expected today through Saturday, April 4.
