Morris, at left, Chief Instructor at Open Hand Self Defense, stated in his July 2013, newsletter, “We at Open Hand Self Defense try to promote Wellness Martial Arts, along with Situational Science, in three different forms of the Martial Arts.  Let’s all try to keep our kids and families healthy and safe.”

This month the school is offering a two-hour, private class on Situational Science, mostly geared for non-students ages 13 and up.  The fee is $10 per person, with a minimum of five persons.

New, adjusted, monthly sign-up fees for new members are $50 for the first person; $35 for the second; $25 for every additional family member.

“This can equal out to be under $3 a class, if you take advantage of all the classes,” noted Morris.

Classes in Youth Hapkido, Hapkido, and Xiao jinli, respectively, are offered Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday; Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Saturday; Tuesday, Wednesday, and Saturday.  They are held at the Farm Bureau Building, 100 S. Knox Street, Morrison, IL.
