Nelta L. Roeder, 76, of Morrison, IL, died Saturday, May 23, 2026, at Rock River Hospice & Home in Sterling, IL.
Nelta was born November 16, 1949, to Marion C. and Geneva J. (Meurs) Stuart, in Morrison. She attended the Morrison grade schools and graduated from Morrison High School. On July 8, 1969, she married David A. Roeder at Morrison Christian Reformed Church. For many years Nelta supported the Roeder Radiator Repair family business, working out of the home and serving as the Bookkeeper and Secretary. As a member of the former Morrison Christian Reformed Church, she was active with Golden Hour and anything that had to do with children. Nelta dedicated many hours of her time to the children who would come for daycare and preschool at the church. Her free time was spent gardening–she especially loved her flowers. She also enjoyed puzzles and could usually be found with a book nearby. She cherished the friendships made while Bowling in local leagues for many years, and she was keen on couponing. When coupons stopped being published in the newspapers, Nelta quickly figured out how to locate them online.
Survivors include her husband, David; daughter, Kristina (Michael) Leiter of Erie, PA; son, Scot Roeder of Morrison; four grandchildren, Taryn (Aaron) Kennedy, Megan (Dan) Kephart, Luke (Elizabeth) Leiter, and Chloe Roeder; two great-grandchildren, Lincoln and Levi Leiter; brothers, Richard Stuart of Clinton, IA, and Joel (Nikki) Stuart of Port Byron, IL; many nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Marilyn Vegter and Judy Holesinger; brothers, Donald and Larry Stuart.

A Visitation will be held from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m., on Thursday, May 28, 2026, at the Morrison Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home.
Interment will follow the Visitation at 2:30 p.m., at Grove Hill Cemetery in Morrison. Ken Renkes will be officiating.
A memorial to Rock River Hospice & Home has been established.
