Downtown Morrison was a festive and joyful location as families gathered to enjoy the annual Christmas festivities. The evening began with the tree lighting ceremony accompanied by local voices from the junior high that added Christmas sounds to the cold, snow covered, but bright streets that were lined with families awaiting the annual Christmas Parade.
At 6;:00 p.m., the parade moved down Main Street which was crowded with young and old each enjoying the lighted floats and vehicles.. Each viewer silently awaited the arrival of Ole Saint Nick who arrived aboard a huge sleigh at the end of the colorful parade.
The following photos randomly depict the parade and some of the decorated businesses. One photo captures the surprise engagement of a young couple that will etch a memory of the Christmas events of Morrison in their lives forever.
Definitely an evening to remember for all in attendance.
