Millers to Host Area Author Staci Mercado November 17

Volunteer Millers for the Fulton, IL, Windmill will host an evening with an area author, Staci Mercado, from DeWitt, IA.  Staci is a Professor for Southern New Hampshire University and teaches Writing for Eastern Iowa Community Colleges.  She also instructs classes at Central DeWitt High School.

Staci has won several distinguished awards:
      •  Midwest Book Award for her historical fiction novel, Seeking Signs
      •  2017 Outstanding Literary Arts Educator
      •  top-five finalist, 2022 Iowa Department of Education “Iowa Teacher of the Year.”

Mercado will speak about the book Honey Whiskey Murders:  The Truth Behind the Book.

Come join us as we explore the talent behind this award winning author.  Her program begins at 6:00 p.m., on Monday, November 17, 2025.  Light refreshments are offered following the presentation.

The event is free and open to the public.  The Windmill Cultural Center is located at 111 Tenth Avenue, Fulton, and is accessible to individuals with disabilities.
