Kathleen “Kathy” Joy Cetwinski passed away on Saturday, April 25, 2026, in Deer River, MN.
She was born on September 16, 1946, to Harry and Joy (Rose) McGarvey in Dubuque, IA. Her parents moved back to Morrison, IL, and Kathy attended the local Morrison schools.
Kathy loved her family and had a big heart for animals. She was a very talented seamstress and cook and had a wide variety of talents.
She will be dearly missed by her husband, Mark Cetwinski; daughter, Jill (Mike) Pfeifer; son, Joe McDaniel; sisters Sheila (Ron VanKampen), Mary O’Shea, Gini (Lou Rasmussen), and Patti McGarvey; brother. Dan (Kay) McGarvey; grandson, Brett Johnson; granddaughters, Kelsey Joy McDaniel and Luciana Kay Hussman; special friends, Sally Kuchel and Roberta Randall.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Lon; nephew, Michael.
