James T. Biba, age 69, of Prophetstown, IL, died Friday, June 19, 2026, at his home.
Jim was born April 23, 1957, in Hillsboro, WI, the son of Irv and Arlene (Tabor) Biba. When he was two years old, his family moved to Cicero, IL, which is where he grew up and attended school. He married Barb Hornbaker on July 19, 1975 at St. Rene Church in Chicago, IL. Jim was employed at H & M International as a Heavy Crane Operator for 35 years, retiring in 2019. He loved golfing and was an avid Chicago Bears and White Sox fan.
He is survived by his wife, Barb Biba of Prophetstown; mother, Arlene Biba of Sterling, IL; four children, Jim Biba of Morrison, IL, Christine (Larry) Davis of Tiskilwa, IL, Luke (Mindy) Biba of Gurnee, IL. and Jake Biba of Prophetstown; nine grandchildren, James Biba, Danny Biba, Mikey Biba, Rachel Davis, Jack Davis, Shane Wyatt Davis, Audrina Biba, Jakob Biba, and Bear Biba. He was also a wonderful brother-in-law and uncle.
He was preceded in death by his father and brother, John Biba.
At his request, there are no services.
Cremation rites will be accorded.
