The nightcap at Ashford University Field in Clinton Friday night sent the Morrison Mustangs home with a 5-3 loss to Bureau Valley.
The Mustangs took an early lead in the third inning on a double by Joey Brackemyer, a triple by Bill Lee Greul and a single off the bato of Danny Willis.Two walks and two singles allowed the Storm to cut the lead to one in the botom half of the third.
Morrison added another run int e fourth on a wald to Brock Deter and a double by Connor Duncan, but that ended the scoring for the Mustangs for the evening.
Bureau Valley took advantage of the Mustang generosity in the bottom of the fourth when they scored four runs on a fielders choce, a passed ball and two bases loaded walks. All five Storm runs were scored by runners getting on base via the walk.
