Anxious youngsters started arriving at Morrison, IL, Kiwanis Park, in anticipation of the arrival of the Easter Bunny at 10:00 a.m., on Saturday, March 28, 2026.  An area scattered with plastic Easter Eggs lay in wait, as the clock hands moved toward the magic hour slated for their arrival.  Exactly at 10:00 a.m., the siren of the transporting Morrison Fire Department Engine could be heard.  Excitement of the youngsters became focused on the Easter Bunny’s arrival.

Easter Bunny monitored the action, as each age group of excited youngsters gathered eggs in haste.  Before long, each age-group area was void of the colored treasures.  Some held paper notes indicating Morrison businesses who would offer a treat to the winners.  Bunny also awarded baskets to children whose egg held a notification.

Kiwanis Club and Morrison High School Key Club members provided a perfect morning to initiate the beginning of the Easter Season, while forming fond memories for the youngsters.

Bartoz stated, “Morrison High School Sophomores assisted on the day.  Ella Balk served as Announcer.  Alexander Weston was one of the Egg Distribution Specialists, who placed candy-filled, plastic eggs across the egg-hunting grounds.  Some contained slips of paper featuring special prizes, such as Easter baskets and coupons donated by seven local restaurants:  McDonald’s; Family Chef; DQ Grill & Chill; Happy Joe’s Pizza; Peanut Butter & Deli; Urban Eats.  Morrison Kiwanis Club wishes to thank all local businesses and individuals who were involved in this year’s event!”
