Community State Bank of Rock Falls, IL, opened for business in 1975. In half a century, it has grown to also serve the people of Sterling, Dixon, Morrison, and Fulton, IL. The dedication and hard work of countless team members, community partners, and customers has made 50 years of service possible. Community State Bank sponsors 26 wide-ranging organizations.
The bank will celebrate its Golden Anniversary over the next few months, with special events at all branch locations, giveaways, and community initiatives. They will transition to a new logo. Two linked diamond shapes will represent the 1. bond between the bank and its staff and 2. customers and communities who are served. This focus “builds the team that endures.”
At 9:00 a.m., on Friday, November 14, 2025, a Morrison CSB donation of $500 was presented to Northside School, 520 N. Genesee Street. The donation will help fund care for a six-month-old Therapy Dog named Luna. Kelly Smith and CSB President Kevin Schisler presented a check to Principal and primary dog trainer Andy Harridge.
His wife, Leslie, and daughter, Lylah, chose the name. Leslie posted a Facebook message on Wednesday, October 1, seeking a sponsor for Luna’s care costs. Community State Bank responded. Numerous businesses and individuals followed suit; see below.
Expenses include pet insurance; extra Harridge home insurance;training; certification; yearly registration; vaccinations; medical needs; food; reward treats; new collars and harnesses (as she grows); “cute outfs its for dress up days.” Many costs are ongoing, and recurring, so Morrison Community State Bank; established a “Luna Therapy Dog” fund, to inspire others to easily contribute to her care.
Leslie stated, When she is older, “a sponsor patch will be on Luna’s harness,” to recognize Community State Bank.
