The Colts from MJHS earned the right to perform in the State Finals, on Friday, May 20, and Saturday, May 21, 2022. They excelled among a large field of schools. Held at the Eastside Centre in East Peoria, IL, the IESA Boys and Girls Track and Field competition saw the best athletes from throughout the State of Illinois. Trophies were awarded in boys’ and girls’ events in four classes (1A, 2A, 3A, 4A), determined by the school’s enrollment and the grade of the athletes.
The Seventh-grade boys earned Fifth place in a field of 51 schools that scored points. Points were earned by:

1st place – Long Jump (19’ – 5.25”)
2nd place – 200-meter Dash
Kamden White
5th place – High Jump – (5’ – 5”)
Jordan Lewis finished 17th in the Shot Putt (32’ – 6.26”) – no points.
The Eighth-grade boys earned Second place in a field of 49 schools earning points. Points were earned by:
