Mayor Vandermyde called the Morrison City Council to order without alderman Tichler, Bruckner and Schlegel in attendance.
- The first action requiring an approval vote was unanimously passed to allow a sign variance for the signage located at 210 W. Lincolnway.
- A resolution to destroy the Old Cemetery Maintenance Building was approved for immediate action.
- Approval to replace the Blower at the Wastewater Treatment Plant at a cost of $39,584.00 was given to Helm Service of Freeport, IL. Discussion followed related to the potential rate revisions that might accompany the upgrade costs, but the action to alter rates was not acted upon anticipating discussion at future council meetings.
The council meeting adjourned anticipating the next meeting at 6:30 on August 24 at the Odell Public Library. The public is welcome to attend.
