On Monday, September 5, 2022, Congresswoman Cheri Bustos will embark on her final Heartland Tour across Northwest and Central Illinois. She will present checks for Federal funds secured for local projects; complete two, Cheri on Shift job shadowing stops; hold a ceremony renaming the Galesburg, IL, Post Office.
A significant local visit will be at Morrison Institute of Technology, 701 Portland Avenue, Morrison, on Wednesday, September 7. At 2:45 p.m., Bustos will present a check for $1.5 million.
Each year during the August District Work Period, Congresswoman Bustos travels across Northwest and Central Illinois to visit every corner of Illinois’ 17th Congressional District. On this year’s tour, Bustos will make stops in Freeport, Galesburg, Moline, Morrison, Peoria, and Rockford.
