Bethesda Blaze, Relay For Life Team from Bethesda Lutheran Church, hosted their 18th annual “Scotch Doubles” bowling fundraiser on Saturday, January 26, 2019, at Hilltop Lanes in Morrison, IL.  Approximately 40 couples participated in the event, with all proceeds going to the American Cancer Society-Whiteside County Relay For Life.  The Relay will be held at Westwood Sports Complex in Sterling, IL, on Saturday, June 8.

The team also raised funds by selling raffle tickets for various prizes.  Winners were announced at 9:00 p.m.  They were

  • Doug Alcala, 40″ Smart TV
  • Kathy Raser, Yeti Cooler and $100 Fulton Meat Market Gift Card
  • David Northcutt, Cubs jersey

In spite of inclement weather, it was a very successful evening!  Approximately $3000 was raised for the fight against cancer.

The Bethesda Blaze team would like to thank Mike Hamilton, owner of Hilltop Lanes; Royal Neighbors of America-Chapter #516 of Prophetstown, IL, for their continued support; all who supported the event.
