Donna Esther Davis (1953 – 2026)

Donna Esther Davis, 73, of Morrison, IL, died Wednesday, April 29, 2026, at her home.

Donna was born January 7, 1953, in Centralia, IL, to Donald S. and Vivian L. (Fowler) Fulton.  She was raised in a military family and attended schools in various locations throughout the world.  She graduated from Paxton High School and continued her education at the University of Illinois, Parkland College, and Northern Illinois University, where she studied Singing, Art History, and Interior Design.  She married Steven Keith Davis on May 27, 1979, in Champaign-Urbana, IL.  Donna worked as a Lighting Consultant at Springfield Electric, where she met her husband, Steve.  She later drove a school bus for RC Smith for 18 years, retiring in 2011.  She was a former member of First Baptist Church in Morrison, where she shared her gift of music as a choir member.  Donna had a beautiful singing voice that was both strong and expressive, and music remained an important part of her life.  She was a gifted and creative person who enjoyed crocheting, knitting, quilting, and decorative painting, and she shared her talents by teaching classes at Jo-Ann Fabrics.  She was a member of the Rainbow Girls in her younger years and later the Illinois Heartland Decorative Artists Association.  She had a love for classic cars, especially her Triumph, and took joy in collecting unique and meaningful items.

Survivors include her husband, Steve; daughter, Beth Davis of Annawan, IL; sons, Robert (Chrissy) Fulton of Morrison, Michael (Elena) Davis of Leesburg, FL, and Ian Davis of Morrison; four grandchildren, Jon Fulton, Anthony Fulton, Danielle Fulton, and Trenton Davis; brother, Brad (Lisa) McNail of Paducah, KY.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

A Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., on Tuesday, May 5, 2026, at the Morrison Chapel of Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home.

The Funeral Service will be held at 11:30 a.m., on Wednesday, May 6, 2026, at the Morrison Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home, with Pastor Roy Brown II, Pastor of First Baptist Church in Morrison, officiating.

Interment will be at Grove Hill Cemetery in Morrison, IL.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established to the Alzheimer’s Association.
