The City of Morrison Council met on Monday, January 13, 2020, before a large group of citizens, in the Whiteside County Board Room, 400 N. Cherry Street, Morrison, IL. In attendance were Mayor Everett Pannier; City Clerk Melanie Schroeder; City Administrator Barry Dykhuizen; Public Works Director Lori Matlack; Chief of Police Brian Melton; Aldermen ? Bruckner, Dale Eizenga, Ken Mahaffey, Vern Tervelt, Mick Welding, Josh West, and Harvey Zuidema. The Mayor called the meeting to order at 7:03 p.m.
Three citizens spoke during Public Comment seeking a ban or modification of leaf burning inside the City limits. Linda Wetzell

- Approval of the December 9, Regular Session Minutes and December 16, 2019 Special Session Minutes

- Purchase of Community Room Remote Thermostat Controller at $696. Matlack stated “the price could be under” that, and “the goal is to be more efficient when the Community Room is not in use.”

The Council recessed to enter Executive Session, to consider the appointment, employment, compensation, discipline, performance, or dismissal of specific employee(s) 5ILCS 120/2(c)(1); no action was taken. The Mayor resumed the meeting and called for adjournment.
