Morrison Historical Society members and the general public are cordially invited to attend the Annual Meeting and Potluck.
On Sunday, January 19, 2020, Doors open at Morrison United Methodist Church, 200 W. Lincolnway, Morrison, IL, at noon. The meal begins promptly at 12:30. Kindly bring a dish to pass, plate, and table service. Beverages will be provided.
After a brief business meeting and election of Board of Trustees officers, entertainment will be provided by Morrison Fire Chief Joe R. Bielema. He will share the history of Morrison Fire Department, from its origin as the Jackson Hose Company, which was incorporated on June 7, 1876. Ten men founded that volunteer protection organization. Today, MFD is at full capacity with 30 members. Chief Bielema will display artifacts from the department’s history.
