People have been moved to help Brad and Jenna Weets of Morrison, IL, in their fight to bring awareness to Niemann-Pick Disease (NPC.) Their four-year-old son, Jeg, has been recently diagnosed with NPC. With ever-soaring medical bills and associated costs, we, as a community, would like to bring awareness to Jeg’s fight to beat this genetic disease, which usually results in early death.
Jeg has always loved Law Enforcement and has his own badge necklace. On Saturday morning, March 17, 2018, at 9:00 a.m., he will be sworn in as an Honorary Morrison Police Officer. The brief ceremony will take place at Northside Elementary School, 520 N. Genesee Street, Morrison. The public is invited to attend and celebrate his special achievement.
Additionally, Jeg will be escorted around town in a Police squad car, by Chief Brian Melton.
