On Tuesday, July 6, 2021, Morrison Garden Club member Sharon Moore reported, “This morning, three of us planted and mulched [around] the Morrison[, IL,] sign, on the west end of town. Most of the plants were donated by Roger [and Sue Meiers, owners of] K & R Greenhouse. The two tall grasses were already there.
“The two Sedums on the inside of the posts were dug out from behind City Hall[, 200 W. Main Street.] Those garden areas needed to be cleared out as part of the Main Street project.
“Thank you to volunteers today, Dianah Young and her daughter Faith, for helping to spearhead this project and contacting [Moore] for assistance.”
