Grapplers from grades three through 12 are invited to attend “Morrison Wrestling Camp” on Monday, June 29, and Tuesday, June 30, 2015. Instruction will take place at Morrison High School, 643 Genesee Avenue, Morrison IL, from 10:00 a.m. to noon and 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. There will be a 30-minute lunch break between sessions each day. The $55 fee covers all four sessions. Mail payment to the address below.
The camp will include instruction, techniques, and live wrestling–led by Mike Mena, University of Dubuque[, IA,] wrestling coach. Mena has an impressive record as a wrestler!
- The Rock Falls, IL, native is a graduate of Newman Central Catholic High School. Mena is the only four-time, undefeated State Champion in the history of Illinois wrestling. He finished his career with a 157-0 record.
- Mena graduated from the University of Iowa in 1997, where he was a four-time NCAA All-American and a Big-10 Champion. The Iowa graduate played an important part on three NCAA Team Championship teams for legendary wrestling coach Dan Gable.
