Wilma Jean Foster, 95, of Morrison, IL, formerly of Fulton, IL, died Tuesday, December 5, 2023, at Pleasant View Rehabilitation & Health Care Center in Morrison.
Wilma was born on June 5, 1928, in Fulton, to William and Winnie (Geerts) Foster. She received her education in the rural Whiteside County Grade Schools. Wilma dedicated her working years to Patent Novelty in Fulton, and later to General Electric, from where she eventually retired in 1992. She was a former member of Trinity Reformed Church, actively participating in the Priscilla Circle, and was a member of First Reformed Church. Wilma found joy in crocheting, reading, and tending to her flower garden.
Survivors include her brother, Roland “Bud” (Elsie) Foster of Fulton; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Tena L. Foster and Genevieve Huizenga; brother in infancy, Willard Foster.
Her Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Friday, December 8, 2023, at the Fulton Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home, with Ken Renkes officiating.
A Visitation will be held, starting at 1:00 p.m., until the time of the service.
Interment will be at Fulton Township Cemetery, Fulton, IL.
A memorial has been established to First Reformed Church of Fulton, IL.
