William L. Wulf, 83, of Morrison, IL, died Friday, November 1, 2019, at the Rock River Hospice and Home in Sterling, IL.
Bill was born May 24, 1936, in Morrison, to William F. and Maye E. (Downey) Wulf. He was educated in the Morrison grade schools and graduated from Morrison High School in 1954. He served in the U. S. Army during the Korean Conflict. On April 11, 1958, he married Toshiko Fursato in Naha, Okinawa. She died March 29, 2004. Bill was employed for 32 years at Northwestern Steel and Wire Company in Sterling. During this time he was the President of the United Plant Guard Workers of America, Sterling Local Chapter. He was a member of the Morrison Christian Church. Bill was an antique collector and was known for his attendance at garage sales.
Survivors include daughter, Sandra (Alan Parker) Wulf of Morrison; son, William F. (Vanese) Wulf of Linden, VA; five grandchildren, Alexandra Walsh, Heather (James) Lumley, Johnathan (Stephanie) Herndon, William L. Wulf, Megan (Bryant Young) Wulf; eight great-grandchildren; niece, Cindy (Jason) Rutledge; nephew, Gary (Sue) Slager.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Toshiko; sister, Carmen Slager.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, November 7, 2019, at the Morrison Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home, with Ken Renkes officiating.
A visitation will be from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m., on Wednesday November 6, 2019, at the funeral home.
Interment will be in Grove Hill Cemetery in Morrison, IL.
A memorial to Rock River Hospice and Home in Sterling, IL, has been established.
