Will You Donate to Build a Bark Park?

DogBarkParkIf you love the City of Morrison, IL, or dogs, or donating to a good cause, this request is for you.  “On The Move with Parks and Recreation” Committee of Morrison has partnered with Morrison Lions Foundation. to receive funds on behalf of “On The Move”   donations towards construction of a City tinue until its third stage is completed.

The “On The Move with Parks and Recreation” Committee of Morrison was formed from the Mapping group that began last year.  Our committee goal is to provide and enhance recreational opportunities within the community for persons of all ages.

One of the needs we identified as a team was for a Bark Park (Dog Park).  Thanks to the city, we will blocating it on the Northside of town at the former Legion baseball diamond north of Northside Elementary School on Genesee St.  Attached is a sketch of what we are envisioning for the dog park.

The project will be completed in stages.  Our goal is to raise $50,000 for Phase 1.

  • Phase 1, fencing
  • Phase 2, walking
  • Phase 3, parking lot, water station, benches, and aesthetics.

ProposedPlan

We are reaching out to all Morrison businesses to ask for your consideration of a donation   towards this project. Major donors will be appropriately recognized at the Bark Park. The continued growth in parks and recreation in Morrison rely on local and regional support. We are partnering with the local Morrison Lions Club Foundation to make sure your donation is tax deductible as they are a 501c3.  We would greatly appreciate any gift from your business to help us get this project off the ground.

All donations may be made to The Morrison Lions Foundation. Please note on the check and envelope that your donation is for the Morrison Bark Park.  Attached is a contribution form with detailed donation information. There is also an option to donate online at Morrison Lions Foundation Facebook page.  Please mail in your donation form if you donate online to be recognized.
