Wild Winter Wednesday: Revive Passenger Rail February 26

The Windmill Volunteer Educators at the Windmill Cultural Center in Fulton, IL, invite the public to attend the next program of Wild Winter Wednesday, on February 26, 2025. The Center address is 111 Tenth Avenue in Fulton, IL.  Please note:  if Riverbend Schools are delayed or cancelled due to weather, Wild Winter Wednesdays are cancelled as well.

Doors open at 8:30 a.m. for coffee, hot cider, and Mill treats.  The program begins about 9:20 and is free and open to the public.  The building is disability accessible.

Our program will feature Gerald Podraza from Galena, IL.  He completed his education with a Doctorate at University of Illinois Chicago, with a degree in Public Policy Analysis & Ethnography of Communication.  Podraza’s volunteer activities are vast and varied :  Y  Floor Hockey Coach; Food Delivery Driver; Habitat Drywaller; Neighborhood Watcher; Baby Cuddler; Keep Kids Safe (banning automatic weapons); Citizens to Revive Passenger Rail-Blackhawk & Twin City Passenger Rail.  The latter is the topic of his presentation.

The program is funded through a grant from the D. S. Flikkema Foundation and a donation from Nelson Corp.
