Our program will feature Sheri Wood with information about “Dying Fabric with Natural Plant Dyes.” She has been interested in needle art for as long as she can remember. Sheri seriously began quilting in the 1970s and began dying fabrics for quilting by the end of the 70s.
For the past decade or so, she has explored natural colors–especially blue, from homegrown Japanese Indigo. Shari especially enjoys making different designs and colors from this plant.
This program is funded through a grant from the D. S. Flikkema Foundation and a donation from Nelson Corp.
