WHOA Volunteers Needed

Posted by

GirlOnHorseVolunteers are needed at White Oaks Therapeutic Equestrian Center.

We have several opportunities available to volunteer for our therapeutic riding program, ranging from

  • volunteering for classes (leading horses and/or side-walking riders and their horses)
  • occasionally helping with miscellaneous tasks around the barn
  • helping with marketing
  • helping with fundraising.

Our greatest need at this time is for leaders in our classes.  These opportunities are a lot fun and so very rewarding!  Please call WHOA Program Director, Tawny Wiersema at 815-535-6208 for a volunteer packet or more information.

Anyone interested in volunteering for classes must be over age 14 and attend our New Volunteer training days.  All volunteers must fill out the required forms in the volunteer packet prior to the training dates, in order to participate.  All packets are due Monday, April 9, 2018.

New Volunteer training sessions are held on Wednesday, April 11, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. and Saturday, April 14, from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m., at our facility, the Whiteside County Fairgrounds, at 201 W. Winfield Street, Morrison, IL.  Meet at the round barn.

We hope to see you there!
