WHOA Offers Spring Session and Events Schedule

White Oaks Therapeutic Equestrian Center, Morrison, IL, has saddled up for an exciting 2018 season.

Tawny Wiersema stated, “This is our 23rd year in operation.  Lessons are on Tuesday and Thursday evenings and Saturday mornings.  We have a Spring Session for the first time in two years!  It runs four weeks from Tuesday, April 17, through Saturday, May 12, 2018.  We have 22 students to start the Spring Session and 29 students signed up for the Summer Session, so we are growing!”

“We serve students from our local community in Whiteside County, in addition to students in Carroll, Lee, and  Ogle Counties, in IL, and Clinton County, IA.  This year’s teachers are PATH Certified Instructor Beverly Downey from Clinton, IA; PATH certified Instructor-in-Training Bethany Schmitt of Harmon, IL; Brittany Schmitt of Harmon.”

2017B

WHOA will run the Concession Stand/Bake Sale for the Illinois High School Rodeo, on Saturday, April 28, and Sunday, April 29.

Summer Session runs six weeks from Tuesday, May 29, through Saturday, July 7.

2017A

WHOA will host its 5th Annual Benefit Open Horse Show on Saturday, June 23, along with a community Pork Chop Cookout.

As a fundraiser, WHOA will participate in the John Deere Classic Golf Tournament Birdies for Charity again this year in July.  Click here to make a pledge which benefits WHOA.

2017C

In August, WHOA will be at the Whiteside County Fair with a booth and will sell raffles at the Horse Shows.

Fall Session runs six weeks from Tuesday, September 11, through Saturday, October 20.

The Student Show for the public is Saturday, September 29.
