The White Oaks Therapeutic Equestrian Center (WHOA) of Morrison, IL, is set to host its fourth annual benefit Horse Show on Saturday, June 24, 2017, at the Gold Star FS Arena at the Whiteside County Fairgrounds.
The show will be a benefit for WHOA, with all of the proceeds going directly to the program. WHOA uses equine-assisted activities to provide recreational, educational, therapeutic, and social opportunities, for people ages four through adult with physical and cognitive disabilities.
Entries for the 24 classes throughout the day, including pleasure classes and speed events. A student exhibition class is at 8:00. A patriotic opening ceremony, put on by students and volunteers of WHOA, is at 8:45. The horse show begins at 9:00.
During the horse show, WHOA will host a grilled cookout lunch in the Livestock Pavilion, inside the fairgrounds. Pork chops, burgers, hot dogs, and baked goods will be available for sale, as well as chips, lemonade, pop, and water. This cookout is open to all members of the community, so WHOA invites you to please stop by and have lunch with us!
June 24 will be a great day to come and support this local program. It is for a great cause, so please come out and enjoy the fun at WHOA’s Benefit Horse Show.
