The Whiteside Forum will host Guest Speaker, local resident, and American Red Cross Disaster Relief volunteer, Dave Boyles, on Thursday, March 24, 2022. His program will be at the Odell Public Library Program Room, 307 S. Madison Street, in Morrison, IL starting at 6:30 p.m. Masks are encouraged but no longer required. This event is free and open to the public.
Boyles, an Exelon retiree, has worked with the American Red Cross for ten years. He has experience locally, Nationally, and internationally, serving victims of tornadoes, wildfires, typhoons, and other disasters. Come hear him speak about some of his 30, short-notice, deployments; the type of work he does; what needs to be done to help people in traumatic conditions.
A question and answer session will follow the presentation. We might encourage his thoughts on relief efforts and other non-governmental organizations’ activities in war-torn areas like Ukraine.
