The Whiteside County Fair has an amazing line up of daily events, and it is sure to please all who attend! The Fair opens on Tuesday, August 15, 2017, and concludes after five fun-filled days on Saturday, August 19. The 147th annual fair, held at the fairgrounds in Morrison, IL, has something for everyone that you won’t want to miss! Here are some of the many things going on during the day.
Fire Department display from 2:00 until 6:00 p.m.
- Tuesday – Fulton FD, Fire Safety House
- Wednesday – Tampico, Prophetstown, Lyndon, Erie FD’s – Auto Extrication
- Thursday – Sterling FD, Rock Falls FD, and CGH Ambulance, Fire Extinguisher and Fire Truck
- Friday – Morrison FD, Grain Bin Rescue
- Saturday – Clinton, and Camanche, IA, FD’s, Fire Safety House.
Cake and Pie Walk Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday at 4:00 p.m.
Granpa Cratchet Stage Show throughout the day.
Bike Give-aways: sign up at the Blue Building during each day for the 6:00 p.m. drawing on Tuesdaythrough-Saturday. Saturday also includes a 2:00 p.m. drawing.
Wood Carving every day of the fair.
Livestock Judged Tuesday-through-Friday. Check the website schedule for specific times.
Bingo Nightly from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m.
50/50 tickets available for purchase. Proceeds support the Whiteside County Fair and Morrison Boosters. Tickets available for purchase in the Fair Offices or from Fair Directors and Morrison Boosters.
