Whiteside County is drafting a “Comprehensive Plan” to guide development and positive change over the next 20 years. The plan kicks off with two identical Public Visioning Meetings. Both locations are handicap accessible. Doors will open at 6:15 p.m.
Starting shortly after 6:30 p.m., the meetings will include a brief introduction of the planning process. They include activities to get feedback on important County topics: land use and development transportation economic development housing agriculture natural hazards.
The first meeting is on Thursday, October 10, 2013, in the Whiteside County Board Room, located in the Whiteside County Law Enforcement Center, 400 N. Cherry Street, Morrison, IL.
The second meeting is on Wednesday, October 16, in the Ryberg Auditorium, located in CGH Medical Center, 100 E. LeFevre Road, Sterling, IL.
All interested parties are encouraged to attend one of the meetings. Please help us create a plan that truly represents the interests of the County.
Whiteside County has also created a Citizen Survey to collect opinions on a range of topics through Thursday, October 31. The survey will be mailed to 6000 County residents. All residents are encouraged to take the survey.
