Lloyd DeShane has organized an old fashioned, Sunday drive through Whiteside County, beginning at 1:00 p.m., on May 31, 2020. The caravan will depart Odell Public Library, 307 S. Madison Street, Morrison, IL. The public is invited to join the cruise.
“We are practicing social distancing rules set by our Governor: six-foot distancing and wearing a face mask, where needed,” he stated. “Please join or leave the cruise at anywhere you would like. Your vehicle must be able to travel on Interstate Highways.

- Leave Odell Public Library parking lot at 1:00 p.m. sharp.
- Head east on U. S. Route 30 (Lincolnway) to the four-way stop at Moline Road; turn left (north) towards Rock Falls.
- Go through Rock Falls at 1:20 p.m. and turn right (south) onto IL Route 40 towards Interstate 88; follow I 88 west to Exit 26.
- Follow IL Route 78 to Prophetstown, arriving about 2:00 p.m. at the public swimming pool parking lot, 410 Riverside Drive.
- Leave at 2:20 p.m. on IL Route 78 and drive through Main Street; just past Frary Lumber & Supply, 412 Washington Street, turn right (south) onto 5th Street. This will become Spring Hill Road.
- Follow the Spring Hill Road southwest to a four-way stop; turn right (northwest) towards Erie. We will stop at the Erie triangle.
- Leave Erie at 2:55 p.m. and follow the Erie/Albany blacktop to Albany.
- Turn right (north) onto IL 84 and drive towards Fulton; at the second, four-way stop, turn left (west) and proceed to the stoplight.
- Turn right (north) onto N. 4th Street/Main Street and drive to 10th Avenue; turn left (west) and drive to de Immigrant Dutch windmill.
- Leave the windmill area at 3:50 p.m.; follow IL Route 136 east to U. S. Route 30 (Lincolnway); turn left (east) towards Morrison.
