The University of Illinois Extension will host their annual Whiteside County 4-H Show from Thursday, July 16, through Saturday, July 18, 2015.
There will be several fun events for the public to explore. The Whiteside 4-H program is always looking for new members and volunteers. To learn more, please contact Allie Lancaster at 815-772-4075.
On Friday, July 17, kids can participate in “Paint the 4-H Show” and paint pictures related to 4-H. The Whiteside 4-H Federation will host a Pork Chop Dinner at the Fairgrounds from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Meals include pork chop sandwich(es), chips, applesauce, cookie, and a drink. Tickets are $7 (One Chop Meal) and $9 (Two Chop Meal.) Tickets are available at the Extension office located 100 E. Knox Street, Morrison, or through Whiteside County 4-H members.
On Saturday, July 18, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. we will host a Craft and Vendors Show, with a variety of booths: DoTerra, MakeUp Eraser, Thirty-One, Jamberry, ItWorks, MaryKay, and a variety of crafters selling items such as hair bows, woodwork, sewn projects, yard art, and much more! Enjoy a day of shopping and see what 4-H members have been working on.
We are still accepting crafters, businesses, and vendors to participate in the Saturday show. For more information call the office 815-772-4075.
After Saturday’s Project judging 4-H members, families, and community members are invited to the grandstand for the Parade of Champions and special awards presentations. Come support your local 4-H program.
