The Whiteside Forum will host a presentation by Angela Weck on “Russia-Ukraine Relations” on Thursday, September 25, 2014, in the Program Room of the Odell Public Library, 307 S. Madison Street, Morrison, IL, starting at 6:30 p.m. Weck is the Executive Director of the Peoria[, IL,] Area World Affairs Council and an Adjunct Professor at the Institute for International Studies at Bradley University. She has degrees in Russian Studies and Political Science from Iowa State University and Russian and East European Studies from the University of Minnesota.
Come listen to an informative and insightful lecture on this volatile area. See how the different interests and world powers line-up. This will be the second time that Weck has spoken on the topic; the first time was in Russia and was well received. A question and answer period will follow her presentation.
